Services and support
1.1
Flow Kinesiology offers Mind Body Medicine and Kinesiology sessions to support your health and wellbeing. It is the expectation of Flow Kinesiology, as part of our client-centred approach, that every client takes personal responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
1.2
You understand that participating in a Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology session can be (and often is) an emotional experience. It is the policy of Flow Kinesiology that all clients receive a service of honesty and professionalism at all times.
1.3
You acknowledge you are choosing to have a Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology session which provides you with insight and guidance of thought – it is subject to your own personal interpretation and not intended to constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial, personal or relationship advice.
1.4
You agree to honestly answer Flow Kinesiology’s Client Intake Form, and/or questions asked by the practitioner in a session about your current health and medical history. You must inform the practitioner of any recent hospitalisations, falls and/or injuries.
1.5
Mind Body Medicine and Kinesiology is a gentle therapy, however we do work with the body and conduct muscle monitoring which involves working with various muscles in the body, and we wish to keep you safe. You agree to honestly answer the question about any contraindications* to muscle monitoring, or pre-existing physical ailments that may put you at risk in your session.
*A contraindication is anything (including a symptom or medical condition) that is a reason for a person not to receive a treatment or procedure because it may be harmful.
Cancellation Policy, Late Policy and Rescheduling bookings
Flow Kinesiology is committed to delivering quality customer service and ensuring your Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology session is on time.
2.1
We will send you an appointment reminder 48 hours prior to your booking. If you need to reschedule or cancel your session at this time (or prior), please contact the practitioner and we will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate any requested changes to appointment times.
2.2
If you are unable to attend your booking, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. For all cancellations within 24 hours of the confirmed booking time, or failure to attend your session on the day, your session will be charged and invoiced at 50% of the booked rate.
2.3
If you are late for your session, your session must still finish on time. Your practitioner will make the most of the shortened session, however rescheduling or an extension of time will be at the sole discretion of the practitioner and the session will be charged at the booked rate.
2.4
If multiple sessions are cancelled, regardless of whether the appropriate notice has been given, the re-booking of future sessions will be at the full discretion of the practitioner.
2.5
You accept that we may be required to reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, including practitioner illness, and you agree to discuss in good faith rescheduling your appointment as a result of us requiring to amend your booking for any reason. It is our policy to keep everyone safe.
2.6

Termination of a session; Illness, injury and reduced capacity
3.1
You agree that Flow Kinesiology is entitled to cancel or terminate a session at any time (including at any time during a session) for any, or no reason.
3.2
Consumption of alcohol or drugs is not permitted prior to any Flow Kinesiology session, and we recommend that you do not attend your Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology session when you are sick, injured or in any other way of reduced capacity. If a client presents to a session with a contagious illness or other physical illness, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or suspected substance abuse, or in any way that the practitioner deems unsafe, Flow Kinesiology has the right to terminate the session immediately in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Minors
4.1
You acknowledge that if you are under the age of 18, you will only be permitted to have a session with the consent of a parent / guardian.
4.2
Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.
4.3
Persons aged between 16 and 18 must have the consent of a parent / guardian to attend a session, and have a parent / guardian with them on arrival. If you are aged 16-18 and arrive without a parent / guardian present, then the session will be cancelled.
Confidentiality and Complaints Handling
5.1
You and Flow Kinesiology agree that your sessions are private and confidential and will be treated as such by you and the practitioner. Information discussed in your session, will not be disclosed anytime thereafter a session.
5.2
Please be advised that if a practitioner is approached by a court of law and is subpoenaed, we have a legal obligation to submit information in relation to a client / customer without their consent.
5.3
Please be advised if a family member wishes to gain information about your session, Flow Kinesiology will only do so with your written consent. At no other time will your information be shared.
5.4
You agree that you will not make any public comment or comment on any social media platform (or otherwise) that may disparage, defame or negatively affect the reputation of Flow Kinesiology. We have a Complaints Handling Procedure which can be made available to you at any time. Please speak to your practitioner in the first instance with any complaints, and if you wish to take any matter further, you agree to follow the complaints procedure.
Privacy
6.1
At Flow Kinesiology, your personal privacy and security is of paramount concern. While we will collect your personal information for the purposes of contacting you and in according with Australian health records and privacy laws, we will not share, sell or divulge these details without your prior written permission. This includes, but is not limited to; contact details, banking details, session times, details of your progress and sessions, and any information discussed with your practitioner during a session.
Notice of liability
7.1
Flow Kinesiology takes no responsibility and shall not be liable for any decisions you make, or actions you take based on any of our services or guidance, or from any and all liability that may arise in connection with your participation in a Flow Kinesiology session. Although the content of a Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology session may be instructive in nature, it is up to the client to use the information and guidance in a safe and ethical manner.
7.2
You acknowledge that Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology practitioners do not diagnose, or treat illness or disease. Mind Body Medicine and Kinesiology works with the mind and body to find stress and release it, and to help clients to get a deeper understanding of self.
7.3
You agree that you are sound of mind to participate in Mind Body Medicine / Kinesiology sessions. During each session you agree to use the information provided in an ethical and responsible manner, and acknowledge that all information is provided to help gain personal insights into your life. All information provided during a session is at the client’s discretion and free will as to whether the information will best assist them. At no time will the practitioner advise the client to act in any unethical manner thereafter a session.
7.4
Although the information and guidance provided is generally considered safe for most people, persons with mental disability and / or other disabilities or a history or mental illness, or drug or alcohol use should seek guidance and advice from a licensed practitioner in the appropriate field. Flow Kinesiology practitioners will not give medical advice or diagnose medical conditions. You agree to seek medical information and advice from a registered Doctor.

All information provided on our website is at the client’s discretion and free will to determine if any of the products, services or information provided will best assist them.
